I put the stock tank back on to see how it looks with this setup and I have to say. I might have to sacrifice range for looks on this one. Factory tank looks so much better in this application.
Oversize tank for comparison:

When you’re pushing your out of gas bike through the desert you can talk to yourself all about how good the stock tank looks. Also, why are you flat tracking an L?

I hate those plastic tanks! HATE! HAAAAATE!
That 350X I just got has one and it’s going bye-bye quick.
How low are you going in front?

I was very confused by that freestanding front wheel initially. Also, I actually like the oversize tank, it gives it more of a desert wasteland vibe, but I’d paint the front fender flat red as well then.
Anyway, cool build, looking forward to the result!

I’m not actually flat tracking it. I’m just making it flat track style. I’m 5'4" with a 25" inseam. Stock the bike has a 37" seat height which is a no go.
Flat Track bikes sit much lower and I think they look bitching as well.
This is the look I’m going for.

Between 4 to 4.5 inches lower. I’m shortening the forks 4" but then I might slide them in the clamps another 1/2"
